The Parish Council is committed to helping keep Darrington clean, tidy and enjoyable for everyone. Residents can play an important part by disposing of litter and dog waste responsibly and by getting involved in our regular community litter picks.
Dog Waste Bins
Dog waste bins are provided around the village for residents to use when walking their dogs. Dog waste bags are replenished and the bins are emptied weekly. Full bags are placed alongside the public waste bin on Philip's Lane for collection by Wakefield Council, which should take place weekly.
Please help keep our village clean by always bagging and binning dog waste responsibly.
Litter Pick
The Parish Council arranges regular litter picks to help keep Darrington clean and tidy. Residents are very welcome to volunteer and join us in caring for our village.
Dates for upcoming litter picks are advertised on the village notice boards, social media and the Parish Council website. Whether you can spare a little or a lot of time, everyone's help is appreciated.
